- This week two design projects start at the TU Delft that adopted the Concrete Design Competition as part of their program. Both projects are supported by the Cement&BetonCentrum with a two-day hands-on concrete workshop.

- The Dutch national secretary Cement&BetonCentrum supports and facilitates various University projects that adopt the Concrete Design Competition theme and will lead to competition entries with lectures, site visits and hands-on workshops. The first in this series is the research & design project 'To The Bone - designing from the material to the millimeter' at the Technical University Eindhoven.

Start 4th Concrete Design Competition
- The 4th Concrete Design Competition running under the theme 'Monolithic - exploring versatility' will start in September 2009. Curated by the Swiss architect Valerio Olgiati it asks students to investigate and explore the theme and to propose architectural applications in concrete.
