Unit Professor at the Berlage Institute, Rotterdam


Born in Rome, 1973

Studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (I.U.AV.), where he graduated cum laude.
He was awarded a Master Degree at the Berlage Institute, a Doctorate in Urban Planning at the I.U.A.V and he just completed a PhD at the Berlage Institute\TU Delft.

He published about architecture and urbanism in several magazines such as LOG, Arquitectura Viva, Domus, Area, Arch'it, etc. and in books.

He is currently working on a study on the representation of the city through architectural form, from Bramante to Koolhaas.

Pier Vittorio Aureli coordinates the second year research program at the Berlage Institute, where is also Unit Professor. He is a guest professor at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio and at TU/Delft.
