Rob Nijsse (50) is Consulting Engineer and Director of ABT, one of the bigger consulting engineering bureaus in the Netherlands. Dialogue between architecture and structure are of great interest his work. With a strong envolvement as consulting engineer he contributed to the quality of some famous projects, as the Educatorium building in Utrecht (architect OMA), the Minnaert building in Utrecht (architect Willem Jan Neutelings) and the Dutch Pavilion for the Expo 2000 World Exhibition in Hannover (architect MVRDV).
Beside from working with traditional structural materials like
concrete, steel and wood, the structural application of glass has his special attention.
