Emre Arolat - architect principal Arolat Architects

Emre Arolat is a partner in Arolat Architects, which was founded by his parents Saziment and Neset Arolat in Ankara, 1961. The work of the company in the early years was dominated by competition entries and execution of many first-prize projects, mostly of schools, health-care facilities and public buildings. The office was moved to Istanbul in 1968 and the work continued with both competition projects and new commissions from private clients. Emre Arolat joined the practice in 1987 as an associate designer. Throughout the years, there has been an increase in both the number and the range of projects prepared by the Arolat Office; whereby a wide variety of buildings in
different scales and different functional requirements have been designed. At each stage of their career, the group has drawn significant professional experience from regular contributions to architectural competitions; and executed significant projects for housing, tourism facilities, leisure centers, administrative buildings and sports grounds.
Besides his contribution to the office, Emre Arolat has teaching experience at architectural design studios and project juries at several universities in Turkey. He has given lectures at many organizations and universities.
