Sten Forsström - civil engineer

year of birth: 1943
marital status: married
profession: chief engineer, civil engineering

Key Qualifications

Mr Forsström has 37 years' professional experience in design, project management and busi-ness administration including 3 years as contractor. His area of experience mainly covers heavy civil engineering structures such as reactor containments and buildings, coal fired power plants, offshore platforms and lighthouses, water towers, bridges, dams, tunnels, quays and
caissons. He has also designed a number of thin post-tensioned concrete slabs for parking structures and office houses.
In the projects Mr Forsström has been responsible for the following activities:
- Project management
- Structural engineering (including seismic analysis), especially for structures in pre-stressed concrete.
- Advanced computational methods (including large finite element models).
He was also 1980-1991 (part time) Main editor of "Nordisk Betong", the official journal of the Scandinavian Concrete Associations.
