René van Zuuk - architect |
Rene van Zuuk (born 1962) studied architecture at Eindhoven Technical University. He established his bureau René van Zuuk Architects, Almere, in 1993.
His work is characterised by extreme efforts to exploit the technical possibilities, going beyond traditional restrictions. There is a continuous exploration of materials and techniques, also a transfer of techniques to new applications. Furthermore René van Zuuk is researching structures and patterns, looking after possibilities to deform and reform the familiar structures in order to create inspiring architecture.
Since 2003 René van Zuuk is visiting professor at the Eindhoven Technical University.
