Jef Apers - engineer-architect observer chief engineer FEBELCEM secretary general Belgian Concrete Society

Graduated as engineer-architect from the Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven, B). In the period 1976-86 he was a staff member at the Department of Architecture, Urban Design and Planning of the KULeuven (subjects: precast concrete constructions; technological aspects of housing and building in developing countries). From 1986 to 2002 he was consulting engineer at the Federation of the Belgian Cement Industry (FEBELCEM), mainly informing the designers about the properties and uses of concrete; several publications and conferences.
Since 2002 Jef Apers is chief engineer at FEBELCEM and secretary general of the Belgian Concrete Society (BBG).
