Kerem Erginoglu - architect

Born in Zonguldak in 1966.
After his education at Istanbul Saint Joseph High School, he gained a first class honours degree in architecture from Mimar Sinan University Faculty of
Architecture.
His postgraduate studies on "Novel Structural Design in Historical Textures" were conducted at the same school.
In 1991, he went to the United States for research and
language education.
He was awarded the Prize of Achievement for the Industrial Construction Centre contest in 1990, the Prize of Achievement for Graphical Presentation at the Architecture Exhibition in 1992, and an honourable mention for the Bathroom Design Contest in 1996.
He was awarded the prize for the art of building conservation in the National Architecture Exhibition with The Tuncel House on 1996, the Construction Prize on the National Architecture Exhibition with The War Academy Closed Swimming Pool in 2000, and the
prize of encouragement in the Project Competition of "Kiosks, the Original Designs" in 2001.
He was also the candidate for Turkey with The War Academy Closed Swimming Pool in the architecture competition of the Mies van der Rohe Society, and won the Aga Khan Architecture Award for the same project.
He was invited as a member of the jury on the
Project Course at Bursa Uludag University, and has also been a guest lecturer at Mimar Sinan University. He also participated in the Pedestrian Exhibition in Nisantas? in 2002, and "The Second I-The Other Face of Architects" Exhibition organised by ArtDecor magazine
with "city sketches".
He has also lectured on the ITU Architecture Days Panel, ITU White Wall-7 Conferences and at the Y?ld?z Gathering 2004.
He has sponsored and organised the MSÜ Wiel Arets Conference. He has participated in many national and international projects and recently won the AMV Young Architects Award 2004 along with Hasan
Çal?slar. Kerem Erginoglu has been working at Erginoglu Çal?slar Architecture Company along with Hasan Çal?slar since 1993.
