Prof. Dr. Ihsan Bilgin
Ihsan Bilgin received his Master’s Degree in Architecture in 1980 (Istanbul Technical University), and his PhD in 1990 (ITU); he became an Associate Professor in 1994 (Yildiz Technical University), and a Full Professor in 2000 (YTU). He was an instructor at Yildiz Technical University between 1982 and 2004. Working on and teaching the history of modern housing, settlement and urban development, and on 20th century architecture. He taught Everyday Life and Urban Culture at Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Communication. In September 2004 he set up the Master’s Program in Architectural Design at Istanbul Bilgi University, and is the coordinator of the program. He is the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the same university. Since 1985 he has produced many architectural projects and constructed work which he designed both in his own studio.
