Key data :
Gabriele Del Mese studied Humanities in Turin and Building Engineering at Padua University. After an initial professional period in Italy, he joined the newly formed Building Engineering Division of Ove Arup & Partners, London, in 1973.
During his international career with Arup he has been responsible for the design and construction of a variety of large and complex projects in the UK and abroad, including Universities, Hospitals, Theatres, Sports Halls, large Office Developments and Industrial Buildings.
He has worked in Italy, England, Germany, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.
Some of his projects have been published in The Architectural Journal, The Arup Journal, The Concrete Quarterly, Materia, Parametro, L' Industria delle Costruzioni, Abitare, Costruire and Casabella.
He lectures in the UK and abroad, and is an enthusiastic supporter of multi-disciplinary approach to design.
